Week 1
Discovery & Research
Gather business goals, user needs, and project requirements.
Conduct stakeholder interviews and user research (surveys, user interviews, analytics review).
Benchmark competitors and analyze market positioning.
Define
Summarize insights into user personas and empathy maps.
Identify user pain points, needs, and aspirations.
Craft problem statements and user journey maps to visualize current user flows and experiences.
Week 2
Ideation & Strategy
Organize brainstorming sessions to generate potential solutions.
Sketch user flows, site maps, and information architecture diagrams.
Prioritize ideas based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with business goals.
Wireframing & Prototyping
Create low-fidelity wireframes (sketches or digital layouts) to conceptualize structure and navigation.
Develop interactive prototypes for key flows to demonstrate functionality and gather feedback quickly.
Week 3
High-Fidelity Design (UI)
Develop high-fidelity UI mockups that align with brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
Build and maintain a design system (reusable components, style guides).
Week 4
Testing & Iterations
Conduct usability testing sessions with real users to observe interactions and gather insights.
Iterate on designs based on feedback—repeat as needed to resolve usability problems.
Development Handoff
Prepare detailed design specifications and assets for developers.
Collaborate closely during development for smooth implementation.
